Hydraulic system leaks
Verify that the hydraulic system is properly shut down and de-pressurized.
Inspect the hydraulic reservoir for fluid level and contamination.
Visually inspect all hydraulic hoses, fittings, and connections for signs of leakage, damage, or wear.
Check for loose or damaged hydraulic lines and fittings.
Inspect the hydraulic pump for leaks and proper operation.
Check the hydraulic valves for proper operation and leaks.
Clamp tonnage issues
Verify the hydraulic oil level in the reservoir and top off if necessary.
Inspect the hydraulic filter for signs of clogging or contamination.
Check the pressure gauge readings for the hydraulic system and compare them to the manufacturer's specifications.
Inspect the hydraulic hoses and fittings for leaks or damage.
Check the condition of the hydraulic pump and motor, ensuring they are operating properly.
Verify the proper functioning of the hydraulic valves, including the clamp pressure control valve.
Heater Failures
Verify power supply to the heater: Check the circuit breaker, fuses, and wiring connections to ensure power is reaching the heater.
Inspect the heater element for damage: Look for signs of burning, breakage, or corrosion. Replace the heater element if damaged.
Check the pressure gauge readings for the hydraulic system and compare them to the manufacturer's specifications.
